« Great Chemistry and Biology Sections but Others Are Lacking »
While the Biology and Chemistry sections covered most of the important topics that came up on the PCAT I found the Verbal, Writing, and Reading Comprehension sections to be completely worthless. Also, the Math section was fairly laughable, especially the Calculus section. The questions on the actual PCAT were much more difficult and a more efficient study tool would be the Pearson practice tests (though these have their problems too). This book also contained some pretty egregious typos and flat-out wrong information. For instance, in the Chemistry section the book claims that both the p and d orbitals hold 6 electrons, when in reality the d orbitals hold 10. There are numerous other mistakes similar to this, so if you don't already have a solid background in these subjects you may find the information misleading.

Overall I felt that using this book and the Pearson practice tests prepared me well for the test. I also supplemented the Math section with the Sparknotes SparkCharts to go over some basic formulas and derivatives that I had forgotten. I would cautiously recommend this book to those taking the PCAT but I would certainly not use it as your sole method of study.

The product itself arrived in a fairly short amount of time. The product was as described and in excellent condition.

    « pcat study guide »
well i haven't taken the test yet, so i can't speak for how well it prepared me. However, the book has been very informative, easy to read and understand.
my only wish is that there were a few more pages of blank testing pages. I hate that I can only use the answer sheet once or that I have to go and make copies to use it multiple times.

So, to sum it up, its a comprehensive, great study guide, but it shouldn't be your only weapon of choice (so to speak) :)

« Good but with some errors »
This product is a good general review for the PCAT. Of special use are the included trial exams. However, there are a number of factual errors and there is some poor wording in the Biology section of the book (particularly the genetics section). I also spotted an error in the calculus section. So students should probably cross reference this book with a standard textbook to ensure accuracy.

The package came in good quality. The package came in the set time, but I felt it took longer than usual.
