Really Helpful and a great addition

Basically this book puts your user manual that came with the camera in plain English. You can find MOST of this info in the user manual but this really helps. It also does a good job of putting camera terminology and tips at the hands of a beginner when it comes to dSLR technology and use.
I would recommend. In addition I recommend "The Digital Photography Book" which is the book I carry in my bag.

Very useful and already dog-earred

I've had the book 1 week and it's already dog earred as I peruse through it learning about my Canon Rebel. Have not gone past the 5th chapter into any real detail as I am trying to learn the basics. I could use a little more explanation on the Auto Exposure Lock button and bracketing as I'm having some difficulty mastering the use of these. There seems to be only one paragraph on the technical use for each of these topics. I really appreciate all the photo examples with the camera info, I now have a very firm grasp of the concepts of exposure, depth of field, and use of autofocus features. Now it's up to me to get out and practice the concepts and develop technical expertise.
